  1. That’s soooooo close. Don’t give up! How about adding in a spontaneous dance off contest or a dream sequence. Maybe have someone recite nursery rhymes and type them entirely. You can just snip it out later. Or you could add the word “very” to every adverb and adjective. Ooh one more. Give a character a double name like Jim Bob or Mary Alice. That alone could add scads of words!

    You can do it! You are so so close. I’m mostly kidding in the suggestions. If you had several thousand words left, I’d keep my mouth shut. But that’s less than 2000! Eye on the prize!
